I am in a serious dry spell. I don’t even want to say the words “dry spell” b/c that might make it last longer. I guess it’s of my own doing. I basically swore of dating. I just thought, I’ve tried everything, and nothing has worked, so maybe that’s a sign that I should just throw in the towel… at least for the time being.
So, now I’m trying to rationalize what some might consider loneliness…. I still have lots of friends who I love and who love me, plenty of people to chat with on the phone or email or have lunch with, and a schedule that won’t allow time for much more. So, in this age of enlightenment, when I have taken it upon myself to actively non-date, I will engage myself in activities like watching Gossip Girl and the Hills (maybe even The Bachelor if I get that bored), painting my toe nails, and enjoying not having the hassle.
We’ll see how long that lasts…
